Employment Law Cases on the Rise
05 30 2017
Signs of the times are evident. As Newfoundland and Labrador experiences a necessary but brutal time of public spending restraint in a flat economy the impact is reflected in the rising number of cases having employment law issues. As people focus on protecting their sources of income and employment security, many files seem to be opening involving either wrongful termination, constructive dismissal, or in a few rare cases wrongful resignation. Jobs that were once just tolerable are now cherished and employees are pushing employers for changes in terms and conditions from within their existing arrangements. This trend is likely to continue indefinitely and CRC will be in the centre for both employers and employees as they seek redress from deteriorating employment relationships.
