Respectful Workplaces and Harassment
08 10 2018
Throughout this year, CRC has noticed a spike in employee complaints filed under employment respectful work place policies. It is uncertain why this is happening however it is related to more work places adopting these protective policies and workers are taking a stand by fully utilizing their resolution processes. Employees are more aware of their rights, and there is a greater sense of confidence in formalizing complaints without retaliation. Workers are also aware that they have options when facing disrespectful behavior. This encourages them to file complaints knowing if a resolution is not achieved, they can proceed with the alternative processes. These developments are good for the economy as respectful workplaces encourage employees to be more productive.
